I'm a journalist for The Associated Press based in Bogota, Colombia. I cover the Andes and document breaking news and longer-form features in words, photos and video. Previously I was a journalist in the AP's Los Angeles, Miami and Tampa bureaus. In 2015, I was named a Bringing Home the World fellow with the International Center for Journalists, reporting from Cuba on the impacts of U.S. policy change toward the island. I am an alumna of the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. When not reporting I am exploring Bogota in search of the best almojabanas y cafe.
